Über Reef Shark (assorted).

Reef shark is a common name, not a single taxon. Wikipedia's index of the name lists several reef-associated sharks known by it: the blacktip, grey and whitetip reef sharks in the Indian and Pacific Oceans, the Galapagos shark in the Atlantic and Pacific, and the Caribbean reef shark in the Atlantic. This group entry covers sightings where the species was not recorded.

Wikipedia's page on requiem sharks places all five in the family Carcharhinidae, which the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) lists as an accepted family.

A conservation status is not given here, because this entry covers a whole group.

Lebensraum.

Wikipedia calls these sharks reef-associated, and describes the requiem sharks as sharks of warm seas.

Where Divers Find Them

In Tulamben, Bali, Blue Season Bali says that despite the shallow depth it is quite common to see small reef sharks at Coral Garden, and bali.com lists reef sharks at Batu Kelebit. Neither says which species.

Verhalten.

Wikipedia describes the requiem sharks as migratory and live-bearing, with the young born fully developed.

Underwater Encounter Behavior

The sources cited here do not describe how reef sharks react to divers.
