Dive Paradise (Cozumel)

Founded in 1984, Dive Paradise is a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort located on Cozumel's west coast, recognized as one of the island's premier dive operators. With a waterfront main office and beach locations at Cozumel Hotel & Resort and Club de Playa Villablanca, the facility offers direct boat pick-ups from private piers, along with showers, rinse tanks, and gear storage lockers.

Certification Courses

Dive Paradise provides a comprehensive range of PADI certification courses, from introductory experiences to professional levels:

• Discover Scuba Diving: An ideal first experience in Cozumel's underwater world.
• Open Water Diver Certification: Full certification and Open Water Referral options are available, allowing divers to complete their training in Cozumel's warm, clear waters.
• Advanced Open Water Diver: Develop skills through adventure dives like Deep Diving, Underwater Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy, and Drift diving.
• Specialty Certifications: Including Rescue Diver and Nitrox.
• Divemaster: For those pursuing professional dive careers.
• Technical Diving: Training is also available.

Courses are delivered by experienced instructors in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Guided Dive Trips & Excursions

Dive Paradise operates the island's largest fleet of boats, offering diverse dive trips to Cozumel's legendary coral reefs, walls, canyons, and caverns.

• Daily Boat Trips: Choose from 2-tank and 3-tank morning trips, 1-tank afternoon dives, and night dives.
• "Caribbean" Style Trips: Utilize spacious boats, accommodating up to 16 divers, with snacks and purified water included.
• "Express" Fast Boat Trips: Designed for experienced divers and smaller groups, offering quicker transit to dive sites.
• Drift Diving: Cozumel is renowned for its drift diving, with divemasters guiding groups along the south-to-north current.
• Cenote Diving: Full-day guided cavern tours to the Yucatan mainland, exploring sites like Dos Ojos and Angelita, with crystal-clear freshwater and unique speleothems. Includes transportation, full gear, entrance fees, and two dives with a full cave certified guide. Open Water Certification is required.
• Whale Shark Snorkeling Tours: Seasonal excursions (mid-May through mid-September) to swim with whale sharks, departing from Playa del Carmen.
• Adaptive Scuba Diving: A specialized program offering Discover Adaptive Scuba classes for individuals with disabilities, customized to specific needs and conducted with certified adaptive scuba instructors and divemasters.
• Bull Shark Encounters & Mama Viña Wreck: Seasonal trips (November 15th to February 15th) for thrilling encounters in Playa del Carmen.
• Private Charters: Customizable itineraries for diving, snorkeling, or fishing.

Water temperatures in Cozumel are consistently warm (25°C+), with visibility often exceeding 30 m.

Equipment Sales & Rental

Dive Paradise offers a full range of rental equipment, including BCDs, regulators, masks, fins, wetsuits, and Suunto dive computers. Air tanks (80 cu ft standard, 63 cu ft, 100 cu ft upgrade) and Nitrox tanks (80 cu ft, 100 cu ft upgrade) are available. Weights and belts are complimentary on boat trips. A retail shop is also on-site for dive essentials and merchandise.
