About This Dive Site
Bacong West is listed by PADI through a Magic Oceans contribution describing a wall dive in Anda. This partial guide retains the named western site and its source position without assuming it is an alias of the existing Bacong record.
A directory point named Paradise Wall is about 95 metres away and is described there as part of the Flower Beach house reef. Its relationship to Bacong West is unresolved. The existing Bacong point is about one kilometre away; the boundaries of its named western section are not locally confirmed.
Current depth limits, currents, visibility, seasonal conditions and entry arrangements remain unconfirmed for this record. Check the exact site and conditions with a local operator before planning a dive.
The PADI contribution in more detail
The PADI page, which credits Magic Oceans Dive Resort as its contributor and was captured on 8 October 2026, describes a wall that descends from 5 meters down to 30 meters, says small overhangs provide a habitat for a variety of nudibranchs and flatworms, and places turtles on the reef top. It lists the dive types as reef, wall and ocean, a maximum depth of 30 meters, and says the site offers diving for all levels. Magic Oceans' own site-description sheet, uploaded in 2019, lists Bacong West as a slope and wall site with a 25 m figure and a macro camera note, naming eels, crabs, nudibranchs, frogfish and turtles, and lists Bacong East as a separate entry with the same 25 m figure. The 30 m and 25 m figures come from the same operator at different dates and are not reconciled here. A Magic Oceans article on Bargibanti pygmy seahorses, posted in June 2017, names Bacong West among the few resort sites where they can be spotted; that is a dated operator observation, not a promise.
A second listing and what it adds
The Diverout dive-site entry, captured on 8 October 2026, places Bacong West along the coastline of Anda on eastern Bohol and describes a shallow coral garden that transitions into a sloping reef wall, with hard coral formations, soft coral outcroppings, sponges and sea fans. It gives a 5 to 30 m depth range, a beginner difficulty, boat entry, 12 to 25 m visibility, 26 to 30 degrees Celsius water temperature and mild current, and says conditions are generally calm in the morning with occasional light chop in the afternoon. Its best-time markers cover January to May. Diverout does not state where its figures come from, so they are recorded as that listing's values rather than confirmed conditions. The Paradise Wall and Bacong relations noted above remain unresolved.
