About This Dive Site

Balinghai Wall is a named wall dive in the Boracay area of Aklan. WaterColors, Wicked Squid Divers and Eclipse list Balinghai. Published depth descriptions differ, so a single depth range is not confirmed here.

Location uncertainty: this guide follows the SSI/Scubago point named Balinghai Wall. PADI places Balinghai about 2.35 km away. The reason for that disagreement is unresolved; the points have not been averaged or treated as two separate sites. The selected point is about 332 m from this guide's Punta Bunga marker, which does not establish underwater boundaries. This source point is approximate, has not been surveyed or verified by a local diver for this guide, and is not a confirmed entry or navigation waypoint.

This partial guide leaves current access, currents, visibility, seasonal conditions and diver suitability unknown. Confirm the intended site and a suitable dive plan with a local operator.

Wall, sandy slope and artificial structures

New Wave Divers describes a wall along Boracay’s northwestern coast, with a sandy slope behind it leading toward an outer reef around 24 metres. Its wall account places frogfish, morays and nudibranchs among the smaller subjects, with lionfish, anthias and bannerfish around cracks in the reef. The operator also describes concrete domes that form artificial-reef structures. This is more specific terrain information than a single maximum-depth label: the wall, slope and outer reef are different parts of its account. The page says the wall continues north toward Santoson and that the two locations can be combined on an outing; that does not make the names interchangeable or resolve the competing map points above.

Eclipse Dive Center separately describes two parallel walls, a shallower sloping section and a deeper wall reaching 40 metres. It also mentions an artificial reef module. These descriptions identify different features; they do not establish one surveyed boundary or a settled depth range.

A dated plateau observation

New Wave’s French-language log dated 7 May 2026 records an 18-metre maximum and 40-minute duration. The author describes seeing an eagle ray pass nearby, then observing a green turtle at the top of the plateau near the end of that dive. Those are sightings from one recorded visit, rather than expected encounters at every depth. The plateau finish also gives context that a broad wall label misses. The same operator’s general guide lists an 8–20-metre profile while describing the outer reef around 24 metres. The logged 18 metres belongs to that outing; it should not replace either terrain description or be promoted to the site’s maximum.
