What the Sunset Cove table lists
Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort's dive-sites page, read on October 8, 2026, lists Cabanbanan Drop as number 12 of its 22 Romblon dive sites, with a depth figure of 20–45m and an Advanced badge. That column is headed Max Depth yet shows a range, so this guide treats the figure as the operator's listed depth band, not a measured site profile. The same page says all 22 sites are reached by banca directly from the resort's beach on Alad Island, most within a 5 to 30-minute boat ride, and that the dives are led by its SDI-certified guides; it gives no ride time, entry point or route for Cabanbanan Drop itself. It is one of five sites the page tags Advanced, and 45m is the deepest figure in the table.
An earlier operator's entry under the same name
Cabanbanan Divers, a dive and beach resort on Romblon Island, published on its German-language website a dive-site table archived on August 7, 2008 that lists Cabanbanan Drop at 12 - 40 m as a Steilwand / Schraege, a wall and slope, with entry from the beach. Two taucher.net reviews of that resort, dated January 18, 2009 and March 14, 2015, say its sites were reached in 5 to 30 minutes, or at most 15 minutes, by banca, and the 2015 reviewer describes beautiful coral landscapes with lots of small stuff beyond the house reef, without naming the Drop. The 2008 figures differ from Sunset Cove's 20–45m Advanced listing and describe a shore entry where Sunset Cove describes banca access; the two are separate lineages seventeen years apart and are not reconciled here.
