What the Sunset Cove table lists
Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort's dive-sites page, read on October 8, 2026, lists Cobrador Sanctuary as number 4 of its 22 Romblon dive sites, with a depth figure of 8–18m and an Open Water badge. That column is headed Max Depth yet shows a range, so this guide treats the figure as the operator's listed depth band, not a measured site profile. The same page says all 22 sites are reached by banca directly from the resort's beach on Alad Island, most within a 5 to 30-minute boat ride, and that the dives are led by its SDI-certified guides; it gives no ride time, entry point or route for Cobrador Sanctuary itself.
Getting there, as divers have reported it
A ScubaBoard post of May 6, 2023 by a diver who stayed at Sunset Cove says most of their diving took place off Logbon Island, Bang-Og Island, near Bon Bon beach and Cobrador Island to the north, and that boat rides are no more than 20 minutes to any except Cobrador. A ScubaBoard trip report of November 15, 2024 from Sunset Cove describes one day trip to Cobrador island with a barbecue lunch between dives. Bluewater Dive Travel's Sunset Cove page, read on October 8, 2026, says divers can also explore Cobrador Island from the resort.
Other operators' Cobrador names, not matched to this pin
The Three P's diving page, in a snapshot archived on September 15, 2024, groups its Cobrador sites under the Marine Sanctuary of Cobrador and calls Sunken Island (Takot Reef) its most famous dive site, alongside Eastern Coral Garden, Naguso Wall and Western Coral Garden. An undated underwaterphotography.com entry says Takot Reef sits on the southern point of Cobrador island off the bay of the village of Marakay-Rakay, that this underwater island, bahura in the local name, has been declared a marine sanctuary, that three pinnacles rise to 8 meters below the surface and a short wall drops to 40 m plus, and it gives October to May as the best time. A Cabanbanan Divers list archived on August 7, 2008 names Cobrador - Maracay-Racay at 5 - 30 m as a wall and slope about 30 minutes away. None of these sources uses the name Cobrador Sanctuary, and the record's existing note on Cobrador Eastern or Western Coral Garden stands: this guide does not say which, if any, of these named sites Sunset Cove's pin refers to. Sanctuary statements are dated statements, not current rules.
