About This Dive Site
Dakit Dakit is a named dive site at Pamilacan Island, Bohol, listed by Bohol Eco Divers and Alona Bohol Divers Club.
Bohol Eco Divers and Alona Bohol Divers Club name this Pamilacan site. A same-name PADI listing is about 205 km away in another region and is not evidence for this location. Location unresolved: the operator’s explicitly approximate pin falls within the coastline uncertainty zone. This partial guide has no map marker or navigation point. Confirm the intended site and entry arrangements with a local operator.
Depth, currents, visibility, seasonal conditions, access and diver suitability remain unknown in this guide. No local-diver verification has been recorded.
How operators describe the dive
Alona Bohol Divers Club's Pamilacan page, captured on 8 October 2026, lists Dakit Dakit as site 27 and says the name means big tree in the local language, Visaya. It places the dive at the south-eastern point of Pamilacan Island, with a sandy slope decorated with huge trees of black sun coral, soft corals and long wipe corals, and a wall that begins at around 25 meters deep. It says that if there is a moderate current, as usual, the operator does a drift dive. It lists turtles, schools of barracuda, emperor fish, big mouth mackerel and the big school of jackfish, adds that macro critters are likely when the current is slow, and names bluespotted stingray, nudibranch, shrimp, unicornfish, sea snakes, frogfish, moray eel, pufferfish and anemonefish in its marine life list.
Diving Panglao's Pamilacan page, captured the same day, says Pamilacan has three dive sites, Dakit Dakit, Spanish Tower and the Sanctuary, and that trips usually include two dives. It places Dakit-Dakit on the southeast tip with a deep sandy slope, lush coral formations and a wall starting at 25 meters, and expects drift dives with reef fish, turtles, barracuda and jackfish. Its wording closely parallels the Alona page, so the two are treated as one lineage.
An independent guide and a current difference
The Live Life The Philippines guide, titled Diving Pamilacan Bohol (2026), says that, unusual for the region, Dakit-Dakit has a long sandy slope, exposed sea conditions and strong currents, making it a challenging long-drift dive. Its caption places the dive off the east side of the island and known for big schools of jackfish. The author calls it a favorite for its scattered coral outcrops, big fish sightings and challenging currents, and mentions large green turtles year-round. Alona Bohol Divers Club says moderate current, while Live Life says strong currents; the accounts differ and are not reconciled here. Bohol Eco Divers' dive map, captured the same day, lists Dakit Dakit among three Pamilacan Island sites.
Same-name listings excluded
An underwaterphotography.com page for a Dakit-Dakit Marine Sanctuary in Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, and a Scubago listing called Dakit Dakit Pinnacle under Malapascua describe other places and are not used here. Given the unresolved location above, confirm the intended Pamilacan site with a local operator.
