About This Dive Site
Fish Feeding is listed as a dive site in the Moalboal area of Cebu. The source describes a coral-covered slope.
Location uncertainty: this source point is about 19 m from the existing White Beach (Basdaku) marker in this guide. Scubago/SSI places White Beach about 1.02 km from that older marker, while Magic Island lists Fish Feeding and White Beach separately. Their exact boundaries and the accuracy of these points remain unconfirmed. Neither name has been merged into the other. Fish Feeding is the published site name, not a recommendation to feed wildlife. The source point has not been surveyed or verified by a local diver for this guide and is not a confirmed entry or navigation waypoint.
This partial guide keeps unconfirmed details explicit. Current access, entry arrangements, depth limits, currents, visibility and seasonal conditions remain unknown here. Confirm the intended location and a suitable dive plan with a local operator.
What operators and SSI describe
Magic Island Dive Resort's Moalboal dive-site list, read 8 October 2026, gives Fish Feeding a depth of 5–35 meters and visibility of 15–30 meters, and describes a slope full of corals among which turtles are sleeping, big fish look for a meal, and shrimps and crabs hide in anemones and soft corals. The resort writes that ghost pipefish are seen there a lot, and adds that it does not feed the fish.
Scubago/SSI's Fish Feeding page, read the same day and carrying 27 user ratings, describes a slope reaching depths of up to 35 meters with hard and soft corals, states that despite the name no feeding is done, and describes calm conditions with excellent visibility and a site suited to all diver levels. Its sightings list names sea turtles, ghost pipefish, shrimps, crabs, triggerfish and parrotfish, and it lists DIVESTORY of Basdiot, Panagsama Beach as a dive centre catering the site. The Scubago text repeats the same features as the Magic Island entry, so the two are treated here as one lineage rather than as independent confirmation.
The White Beach question
A MyCebu.ph article published 3 April 2012 and modified 12 December 2022, summarising Turtle Bay Dive Resort's site notes, says the White Beach dive point in Saavedra descends 25 meters to a fish feeding area characterised by bucket sponges and big brown daisy corals, hosting damsel fish, two-eyed coral fish, checkered snapper, what the article spells red tooth tigger, and turtles. That passage is about White Beach, not about a site named Fish Feeding; it is recorded here because it may bear on the neighbouring names, and it does not resolve the boundary question above.
