Kevin's Reef

Archived operator descriptions identify Kevin's Reef as a house reef with an old anchor at about 9 metres and a maximum reported depth of 25 metres. Manta Drop is described as an extension of the same reef system.

Historical shore access and reef openings

Artistic Diving’s archived 2019 description says Kevin’s Reef could be reached from shore and mentions openings in the reef. That adds an access option to ask about, rather than confirmation that a shore entry is available today. The account does not establish an overhead route or permission to enter any opening.

Name, anchor depth and a differing maximum

Artistic Diving's archived 2019 page says the dive site is dedicated to the owners' son Kevin and describes it as the house reef right in front of its base. Its list archived in March 2008 describes an excellent house reef with an old big anchor at 9 metres and a maximum depth of 24 metres, whereas Easy Diving's lists archived in 2014 and 2025 use the same wording with a maximum of 25 metres; the wording is otherwise identical, so this is one shared lineage with a one-metre difference that is left as published. A cebu-travel.com directory page repeats Easy Diving's 25-metre entry word for word, and DivePlanner Pro's directory lists Kevin's Reef as an intermediate-level site reachable from both Easy Diving Sipalay and Sea Explorers Sipalay.

The reef arm toward Manta Drop

Artistic Diving's 2019 page describes Manta Drop as the extended reef arm of Kevin's Reef, only five minutes away, where the dive follows a wall that drops to 30 metres. Easy Diving's lists describe Manta Drop as a drop-off from 15 to 35 metres with plenty of fan corals. Those figures belong to the Manta Drop dive and are not depths on Kevin's Reef itself.
