About This Dive Site

Magnificat is a dive site around Romblon Island described by local operator The Three P. The operator describes gorgonians, black corals and stony corals, and mentions pygmy seahorses and nudibranchs among the marine life divers may encounter.

These are operator-reported possibilities, not guaranteed encounters or recent sighting records. The source does not identify the seahorses or nudibranchs to species, so this guide does not assign specific species or sighting months.

The operator notes that current may be present. Confirm current conditions, the route and a suitable dive plan locally; this description is not a safety assessment or an independent diver verification.

Operator wording over time

The Three P's own Magnificat page, in a snapshot archived on April 12, 2024, says a current might bring divers across extra large gorgonias, black corals and colorful stone corals, with pygmy seahorses, colorful nudibranchs and rare fish species. Bluewater Dive Travel's pages on The Three P and on Romblon, read on October 8, 2026, and Buceo Filipinas' Romblon dive-sites page carry a different version of the same entry that names Denise and Bargibanti pygmy seahorses and beautiful scorpionfish; the three pages use identical wording, so they count as one lineage of operator text. Those species names are operator claims, not dated sightings. Bluewater's Sunset Cove page lists Magnificat among the more famous spots, for giant fan corals.

Dated visits

Kate Jonker's trip report of a May 2023 stay with The 3 P says Magnificat offers a shallow coral garden teeming with a variety of reef fish; that is her description, with no depth or date-specific sighting attached. PSC Diving's Japanese-language dive list for a July 2019 Romblon trip names Magnificat as the second dive on July 6, 2019, with no further detail.

Sunset Cove's listing

Sunset Cove Beach & Dive Resort's dive-sites page, read on October 8, 2026, also uses the name Magnificat, as number 17 of its 22 sites, with a depth figure of 6–20m and an Open Water badge; the column is headed Max Depth yet shows a range. Two operators using one name does not prove their pins coincide, and no source captured here reconciles the depth band with The Three P's current note.
