About This Dive Site
Archived operators describe a coral wall along the front reef near Nataasan Resort, on the northern side of Punta Ballo. Their reported range is 5–26 metres. The dive-site pin is distinct from the similarly named lighthouse or headland.
This is a partial site guide based on retained dive listings. Conditions, access, seasonal suitability and current operating arrangements have not been checked by a local diver. The map position comes from a published dive-site dataset and should be confirmed with a local operator before planning a visit.

Reported access in poor weather
Artistic Diving’s archived 2019 page says Matatindoc Point can be approached even in bad weather, alongside its description of the coral wall on the northern edge of Punta Ballo. That is a historical operator remark about reaching the site; it does not say every sea condition is safe or that a dive will run. Ask the operator about conditions on the day and the section you plan to dive.
An earlier depth figure and current note
Artistic Diving's list archived in March 2008 uses the same wording as Easy Diving for Matatindoc Pt., a simple wall dive along the front reef of Nataasan Resort, but gives 5 to 18 metres with slight current, where Easy Diving's lists archived in 2014 and 2025 give 5 to 26 metres and Artistic Diving's 2019 page gives 5 to 26 metres on the northern edge of Punta Ballo. The shared wording means these are one lineage, and the 18-metre versus 26-metre maximum is left unreconciled. A cebu-travel.com directory page repeats Easy Diving's wording for the site.
Earlier Easy Diving lists
Easy Diving's English "Diving Grounds" page, in a Wayback snapshot of 31 October 2003, numbers Matatindoc Point 22 of 27 diving grounds: "Beautiful coral wall on the northern edge of Punta Ballo. This diving ground can also be reached in stormy weather. Depth: 5-26m." A snapshot of 26 August 2004 gives the same wording under the name Matatindoc Pt. Snapshots of 7 January 2008 and 17 December 2012 instead read "Simple wall dive along the front reef of Nataasan Resort", again 5-26m, numbered 28. So the 26-metre figure and the stormy-weather remark appear in operator listings from 2003, which sits beside the 18-metre figure in the 2008 Artistic Diving list; the difference is recorded here and not resolved. All of these belong to one operator lineage.
