This site is a fusion of structure diving and macro hunting, making it a popular spot for underwater photographers. The dive typically begins in shallow seagrass areas at about 4.5 meters (15 feet), gradually descending to deeper sections.

Dauin is situated on the southern edge of Negros Island, a region celebrated among macro enthusiasts for its muck diving opportunities. The black volcanic sand slopes gently from the shore, creating a thriving habitat for unusual creatures. Pyramids is considered an artificial reef and a muck dive site. The area's marine protected status contributes to healthy coral coverage and abundant fish life, ensuring that critters remain in their natural habitat. This site is known for its macro life, offering encounters with multiple species of frogfish, often three or four different color morphs on a single dive. Nudibranchs, particularly nembrotha and tambja species, are also abundant. Divers can look inside the pyramid gaps for moray eels and lionfish.

The Dauin coastline offers a diverse range of dive sites, many of which are accessible via shore entry, while others require a short boat ride. The Pyramids site can be accessed by boat. Dauin's waters are generally calm, making it suitable for divers of all experience levels and an excellent location for dive training. The combination of Dauin's muck diving and nearby Apo Island's reef diving creates a varied experience for divers. The region is particularly praised for its macro photography conditions, as the dark volcanic substrate provides natural contrast, enhancing the vibrant colors of the critters. Night dives at Pyramids are also highly rewarding, revealing polychaete worms, sleeping parrotfish, and hunting lionfish.
