Sampaguita is a wall dive in Moalboal. Emerald Green, using the spelling Sanpanguita, places it at the southern end of Moalboal and highlights its irregular underwater relief. The operator lists an eight-minute boat trip from its own shop. That is a departure-specific estimate, not a transfer time from every resort or a confirmed current schedule.

What the terrain offers

Blue Abyss describes a steep drop-off interrupted by sandy outcrops and several overhangs. It reports feather stars, black corals and different anemones along the wall, with hard corals on the reef top. Cebu Fun Divers likewise distinguishes the hard-coral reef top from a steep wall with overhangs. These named accounts give two different parts of the outing to discuss: the upper reef and the more vertical face below it.

The descriptions make the shape of the reef part of the attraction, independently of finding a particular animal. Emerald Green emphasises changes in relief rather than a single flat reef section. Neither its description nor the two wall accounts provides a measured route, entry coordinates or a complete depth profile. A wall’s continuation into deeper water should not be read as a proposed diving depth.

Reported animals and viewing scope

Cebu Fun Divers reports turtles around the reef top, with sea snakes, scorpionfish, occasional barracudas and other reef fish near the wall and overhangs. Blue Abyss also mentions turtles and barracudas, adding batfish and smaller reef fish. These are operator reports without dated counts or an encounter schedule. The reviewed named sections do not establish a separate night-diving animal list or verify that particular animals will be present on a booked visit.

Experience and conditions

Cebu Fun Divers lists Sampaguita for Open Water divers and above. That is its site classification, not an assessment that entering a cave or overhead space is appropriate. The supported description here concerns the reef top, open-water wall and external overhang views. Confirm which section and depth your operator plans, and how the dive’s entry and pickup will work for the day’s conditions.

Scuba Diving Place labels its conditions indicative historical observations. Its visible monthly entries show 28°C in November and 29°C in December; these two entries do not establish a year-round temperature range. The directory’s individual dive depths are observations from particular outings, not surveyed site limits. Current temperature, visibility and current strength still require a recent local briefing.

Neptune also warns that some reef sections become exposed at low tide. That makes checking water depth at the actual entry important; the wall's deep-water description does not establish clearance above the reef top.
