Sepok Wall

Off the white-sand spit at Maricaban's northwestern tip, a long vertical face of solid rock falls from about 5 m to 27–28 m, its surface roughly 80% sheathed in soft corals, huge gorgonian fans, barrel sponges and bright tunicates. It is one of Anilao's gentlest "big" dives: a slight-to-moderate southwest-setting current usually drifts you along the wall while anthias, damsels and surgeonfish shimmer in the shallows and trevally or grouper pass in the blue. The sandy shallows behind the point hide frogfish, leaf scorpionfish and twin-spot lionfish, making the safety stop as productive as the wall itself.
