Welcome to Sinandigan Wall, an extraordinary dive site in Puerto Galera renowned for its dramatic underwater topography and incredible biodiversity. This site is a true gem for macro enthusiasts and offers a thrilling experience for advanced divers seeking vibrant reef life and captivating wall formations.
The Sinandigan Wall dive site presents a striking underwater spectacle, defined by a steep rocky slope that transitions into impressive vertical walls. These walls plunge into the depths, reaching a maximum depth of 40 m. Divers will find a rich tapestry of soft and hard corals, including vibrant sea fans and green tree corals, clinging to the sheer rock face, creating a living canvas of color and texture. The site's topography inherently lends itself to multi-level diving, allowing flexibility to adjust depth exposure according to individual experience and preference.
The water temperature at Sinandigan Wall typically ranges from a comfortable 26°C to 30°C, making for pleasant diving conditions year-round. While currents are generally moderate, they are known to vary and can sometimes be strong, offering opportunities for engaging drift dives. Divers should be prepared for potential movement and mild downdrafts, particularly at the base of the wall. Due to these varying conditions and the site's multi-level profile, we recommend this dive site for advanced divers.
An Advanced Open Water certification is required to fully explore the depths and features of Sinandigan Wall, ensuring divers are comfortable and proficient in managing wall dives and potential currents.
Sinandigan Wall is celebrated across the Philippines for its extraordinary macro diversity, making it a haven for underwater photographers. Divers will find vast populations of assorted Nudibranchs, often seen in a "blanket" on the sandy, bouldered bottom. Keep an eye out for the fascinating Pineapple Sea Cucumber and various cryptic Flatworms sheltering among the rocks. The site is a macro photographer's dream, with colorful shrimp, elusive seahorses, and various crustaceans tucked within the coral formations and crevices.
Beyond the macro life, you can encounter the striking Red Lionfish, along with scorpionfish and stonefish blending expertly with their surroundings. Occasional sightings of sea turtles, thresher sharks, and schools of reef fish add excitement to the dive, especially when looking into the blue.
