About This Dive Site

Tambisan Wall, Siquijor

This partial guide covers Tambisan Wall. Sea Pearl Divers lists it separately from Tambisan Coral Garden, and a Philippines Aggressor voyage log records a night dive at the wall on December 19, 2022. These references establish a named dive destination without treating every nearby Tambisan reef as interchangeable.

A dated account of a night dive

The Aggressor crew reported squid, cuttlefish, a green turtle, a nudibranch and a flatworm during that visit. This is a historical observation from one dive, not evidence of daily sightings or year-round conditions.

Arrange the actual dive

Confirm the precise site and route with your operator, including whether the trip is a daytime or night dive, its planned depth and the required experience. A successful historical night dive does not establish present availability or suitable conditions for another group.

What remains uncertain

Sea Pearl's Tambisan Wall entry has no detailed profile; its “Not Available” text does not prove the site is closed. This review does not establish a universal beginner rating or minimum certification. Current access, fees and conditions require local confirmation. The uncertain fields on this page remain available for correction by divers with site-specific evidence.

A dated description of the wall

Teresa Zubi's starfish.ch Siquijor page, written from visits between 1999 and 2003 and read here in a January 2026 Wayback snapshot, carries an entry titled simply Tambisan. It calls it "a nice dive with schools of smaller fish, some large gorgonians clinging to the wall, colonies of green tubastrea, black corals and hundreds of invertebrates", notes "several small cavelets and crevices populated by sweepers and soldier fish", and says the reef top above 10 metres "is home to lots of anemones". Whether that entry covers the whole Tambisan reef or only the wall is not stated; Sea Pearl Divers lists Tambisan Coral Garden and Tambisan Wall as separate spots.

Current operator and directory listings

Dive Point Siquijor's description, carried on Scubago, calls Tambisan Wall a "very relaxing" and comfortable dive, says it is "great for every level of diver" with "beautiful coral gardens", and points to "the special black coral trees in the area", echoing the black corals Zubi recorded two decades earlier. PADI's dive-site listing records only a wall and ocean dive with boat entry; it publishes no maximum depth or training suggestion for this site. Sea Pearl Divers' page of November to December 2025 numbers Tambisan Wall second among its described spots, and Bahura Dive Siquijor includes it in the 33-site list reproduced on DivePlanner Pro, so the name appears on three operators' current lists even though Sea Pearl gives it no profile. The Philippines Aggressor log places its night dive at the wall on Monday, December 19, 2022, after moving to Siquijor because the area "was protected from the Amihan wind". Depth, visibility, current and seasonal figures remain unpublished by every source captured for this guide, and "every level of diver" is one operator's characterisation rather than a certification rule.
