What the directory entry says

The Zentacle entry for The Caverns, captured on 8 October 2026, rates it for beginners with boat access and a maximum-depth field of 49.2 ft. Its text calls it a simple site with a nice steep wall and many grottos, many different fish and a chance to meet Bruno, a giant octopus, and gives the travel time as 24 minutes from Flower Beach Resort. The named octopus is a dated anecdote, not an expected encounter.

The directory wording closely matches the Bernd's Dive Safaris Anda page, which in a Wayback snapshot of December 2025 describes The Cavern as starting like Wonder Wall but in a southerly direction, a simple dive site with a nice steep wall and many grottos, suitable for beginners when observing the depth limits, with many different fish and a chance to meet Bruno, a giant octopus. Blue Star Dive and Resort's page, last modified December 2015, describes The Cavern as a wall dive to 25 meter with lots of white gorgonians and heaps of nudibranchs, where mantis shrimp can be found and a tiny two-centimetre nudibranch was photographed in the shallow area at the end of the dive. The REEF survey database lists a zone named Cavern under Bohol Island with code 72030007. Whether the directory's The Caverns, the operators' The Cavern and the REEF zone are the same place is not established here; the matching wording is recorded as an observation, not a resolution, and the 25 m figure is Blue Star's and is not adopted.
