About This Dive Site
The Anilao Diving operator page calls this site Vistamar step and describes a stepped underwater profile and a submerged boat. Aqua-Venture lists Vistamar, while Pacific Blue provides a separate Vistamar entry. Their numerical depth descriptions differ, so this partial guide does not select a depth range or recommended profile.
Vistamar and Vistamar step/steps are retained as source naming context. The submerged boat described by operators is a feature of this guide, not a separately verified wreck identity. Historical references to a resort do not establish current access arrangements.
Location unresolved: The exact dive-site position has not been established for this partial guide. It has no map marker or navigation point.
Depth, current strength, visibility, seasonal conditions, entry arrangements and diver suitability remain unknown in this partial guide. Confirm the intended site and current access with a local operator before planning a dive. No local-diver verification has been recorded.
Three operator descriptions
The Anilao Diving guide gives Vistamar Step as 5 to 20 m, about 15 minutes by banca north of its resort and about two minutes from Basura, right in front of the Vistamar resort. It reports no current and visibility of 10 m plus, a sandy shallow area, drop-offs formed by steps of rock and hard corals, concrete chairs and tables on the bottom at about 5 m, gobies and frogfish on loose rubble, pelagic and reef fish along the drop-off, and an open boat about 30 feet long lying at 18 m in front of the resort.
Pacific Blue's Japanese-language dive-site page, in a Wayback Machine snapshot of 17 May 2026, lists Vistamar at 2 to 30 m and 20 minutes from its resort. It describes shallow sand and coral beside a wall dropping to 20 to 40 m, a fairly large boat sunk in a crevasse with a ribbon eel, sweepers and cardinalfish beneath it, and tables and benches scattered on the shallow sand. Aqua-Venture's table lists Vistamar at 18 m with slight current, names steps, a wreck and tables as its attractions, and marks it for wide and macro lenses.
What the sources agree on and what they do not
All three operators describe a stepped rock profile, a small sunken boat and furniture placed on the shallow sand, so those features are consistent across sources. Depth figures are not: 5 to 20 m, 2 to 30 m with an adjoining 20 to 40 m wall, and an 18 m listing. Current is described as absent by one operator and slight by another; neither is a forecast. The boat's size, origin and placement date are not documented in these pages, and no coordinate has been adopted. Ask the operator which step and depth are planned and whether the boat is included on the route.
