Sunken Cemetery

An underwater memorial site marking the old Catarman town cemetery, submerged by the 1871 eruption of Mt. Vulcan and now overgrown with hard coral and reef fish. Upper tombs lie at 5–6 m (snorkellable) under a large white concrete cross erected in 1982; the lava-flow reef extends to ~25 m with overhangs and large boulders. Declared a National Cultural Treasure in 2018 and the most-visited dive site on Camiguin.
