Warna Berwarna

Overview

Warna Berwarna is a dive site in the Daram islands of south-east Misool, on the island Bird's Head Seascape places directly east of Andiamo. Bird's Head Seascape gives its GPS position as S 02 05.962 E 130 51.588, which is the point used here, and translates the name from Bahasa Indonesia as very colourful or colour overload. It says the north side and the east and west points of the island are completely covered with soft corals and sea fans, and that the best colour is shallow.

The dive

Raja Ampat Aggressor's log of February 2025 used the site as a check dive in virtually no current and lists pygmy seahorses, bubble coral shrimp, crinoid shrimp, orang-utan crabs and peacock mantis shrimp, with barracuda and bluefin trevally away from the reef. Its April 2026 log describes a mild current, a huge school of fusiliers, macro life on the protected side of the ridge and a wobbegong on a ledge of the steep slope, which it calls an unusual find at this site. Dive Happy found many sea fans in June 2023, with great visibility in the shallows but murky water below 10 metres, and its December 2025 dive list records the site as a wall dive done at night.

Conditions and level

The current varied between the logged visits, from virtually none to mild. The sources give no depth range, water temperature, season, difficulty rating or minimum certification for the site.
