Doljo Point

At the exposed northwest tip of Panglao, Doljo Point is the zone's signature drift dive: two stacked walls dropping into the open Bohol Sea, swept by nutrient-rich currents that feed extraordinary growth. Divers drift the vertical face between roughly 18 and 30 m past some of the largest gorgonian sea fans in the Philippines, glowing red, pink and orange under a torch, alongside huge sponges and thickets of black coral. Schooling chevron barracuda, trevally and dogtooth tuna work the blue, while solitary reef sharks and the occasional eagle ray cruise past. Frogfish, ghost pipefish and nudibranchs reward sharp eyes on the wall. Currents can run moderate to strong on big tides, demanding solid buoyancy.
