What the single source says

The only description located for this record is Sogod Bay Scuba Resort's own dive-site map data, captured on 7 October 2026. It places Bernard's Anchor in the operator's "Tangkaan & South" group, which the operator summarises as "Soft-coral gardens and barrel sponges down the western shore", between its Turtle Rock and Tangkaan MPA North entries. The entry gives a range of 6 to 28 metres, a boat time of 20 to 25 minutes and a level of "All levels", with the tags reef and macro. Its summary reads: "A gentle Tangkaan reef sloping over sand and coral heads, good for relaxed dives and spotting reef fish, sweetlips, and the occasional ray." The listed highlights are an easy sloping reef, reef fish and sweetlips, and sand patches for rays. The operator does not explain the name, and no anchor is described in the entry.

What could not be found

Searches of dive guides, forum trip reports from 2013 to 2025 and other Sogod Bay operators' pages found no second account that names Bernard's Anchor. A ScubaBoard report of December 2025 from this operator lists eleven sites dived and does not include it. The depth range, boat time and wildlife above are therefore one operator's unverified figures.
