About this name: This pin identifies Black Rock 1 only. The positions and numbering of Black Rock II and III remain unresolved.

About This Dive Site
The coordinate source identifies one dive named Black Rock 1 and describes the front reef wall at Obon Point. Operators list several numbered Black Rock dives. This record represents only the source-named first dive; it does not place Black Rock II or III.
This is a partial site guide based on retained dive listings. Conditions, access, seasonal suitability and current operating arrangements have not been checked by a local diver. The map position comes from a published dive-site dataset and should be confirmed with a local operator before planning a visit.

How each source numbers the Black Rock dives
Zentacle's directory record for this pin, titled Black Rock 1, reads "diving along a wall of the front reef of Obon Point. A little current is possible", grades it beginner and lists a maximum depth of 59.1 feet, about 18 metres. Easy Diving's dive-sites page, archived in April 2014 and May 2025, lists "Black Rock I" as a "steep wall dive along the front reef of Obon Pt." at 5 to 28 metres, "Black Rock II" as a "similar extension of Black Rock" at 5 to 28 metres and "Black Rock III" with "several channels along the wall" at 9 to 28 metres. Artistic Diving's 2009 English list shifts the numbering: its unnumbered "Black Rock" is the "steep wall dive along the front reef of Obon Pt. From 5 to 25 meters with slightly current", its "Black Rock I" is a "similar extension of Black Rock, 5m to 18 meters", and its "Black Rock II" "starts at 4 meters with small drop of down to 12 meters. Several channels along the wall". Artistic's 2019 page describes "BLACK ROCK I" as "a small headland towards Obong Pt." with a "magnificent coral garden from 5m to 28m with sloping wall" and "BLACK ROCK II" as "the southernmost course of Black Rock Island", 9 to 28 metres, while its 2009 German list calls Black Rock itself a small island stone about 30 minutes from the base. The same 2019 page also lists a separate, unnumbered "BLACK ROCK" on the western side of Turtle Island, a different place from the Obon Point dives.
What can be said about this pin
The directory text for Black Rock 1 matches the wording that Easy Diving attaches to Black Rock I and that Artistic Diving's 2009 list attaches to its unnumbered Black Rock, both at the front reef of Obon Point; Zentacle's own Black Rock 3 record, "little drop off. Begins at 4m and ends at 12m", matches Artistic's 2009 Black Rock II instead. Because the operators disagree on which number carries which description, no depth range is transferred to this record and the positions of the other numbered dives remain unresolved.
