About This Dive Site
Coral Garden is a named reef dive in Boracay, Aklan. WaterColors, Wicked Squid Divers and DiveGurus list the site. The guide retains the named directory location as an approximate point.
This guide follows the SSI/Scubago point named Coral Garden in Boracay, not the sites with the same name in Coron or Puerto Galera. The mapped point is about 381 m from this guide’s Tribird aircraft wreck marker; that distance does not establish underwater boundaries. The source point has not been surveyed or verified by a local diver for this guide and is not a confirmed entry or navigation waypoint.
Operators publish different depth ranges, so a single range has not been confirmed here. This partial guide does not establish beginner suitability, current access or safe entry arrangements. Currents, visibility and seasonal conditions remain unknown here. Confirm the intended location and a suitable dive plan with a local operator.
Operator descriptions
DiveGurus Boracay's page, read in October 2026, gives Coral Garden a starting depth of 5 metres and a maximum of 12 metres just off White Beach, with a sandy bottom sloping gradually into reef of stony, table and soft corals, and lists butterflyfish, sergeant majors, clownfish, parrotfish and the occasional turtle; it also calls the site a favourite for snorkelling. The SSI Scubago entry, credited to DiveGurus, places the site about 1 kilometre offshore in the middle of White Beach, calls it a training ground for thousands of divers, and describes sandy channels around coral bommies with reef fish, crabs, starfish, sea cucumbers and clams; being the same organisation, it is not counted as a second source. WaterColors Boracay also gives 5 to 12 metres, Open Water, 4 minutes from Station 3 and 6 from Station 1, says conditions are usually calm and clear, notes occasional frogfish, many nudibranchs and sea snails, and flags reduced visibility after rains from mainland river run-off. Wicked Squid Divers gives 5 to 10 metres with none to mild current and describes coral patches, large white sand areas and isolated coral heads with anemonefish, turtles, ribbon eels, lionfish and pufferfish. New Wave Divers' blog of June 2024 gives 5 to 12 metres and 10 to 20 metre visibility and mentions anemones with clownfish.
A visiting photographer's account
A TravelFeed story dated February 2024 by an underwater photographer gives roughly 5 metres to a maximum of 12 to 15 metres, names cabbage corals among the hard corals, lists nudibranchs, gobies, shrimps and slipper lobsters as macro subjects, notes that the sandy seabed in the shallow part helps beginners avoid damaging coral, and describes night dives there with crabs, octopuses and bioluminescent plankton. Three diver reviews on scubadiving.place record maximum depths of 11, 13 and 16 metres. The published ranges of 5–10, 5–12 and 5–15 metres are not reconciled here, and the mapped-point caveat above still applies.
