Action Divers describes a gently sloping reef with small ledges between Big and Small La Laguna beaches. Its entry presents La Laguna Point as a drift dive and gives an 18 m maximum reference.

La Laguna Beach Club separately lists La Laguna Point with a 3–18 m profile. The matching upper reference does not prove that both operators follow the same route, and the earlier 5 m minimum has not been reconciled.

Planning the visit

Ask where the route begins and ends, the intended depth and current, and how the boat will collect the group. Action Divers includes novice divers in its skill label, but conditions and the selected route still need an operator briefing. Do not use a site-wide label as a substitute for that discussion.

What the evidence supports

The 18 m upper reference and beginner classification are retained as single-source operator information. Visibility, water temperature, seasonal reliability and animal encounter rates have not been established for this guide. Exact entry coordinates are not derived from the source maps.

How the point fits the surrounding reef

Casalay’s Lalaguna Point entry separates a small wall with cracks and crevices descending from 5 to 15 metres from a coral slope continuing to 20 metres. Its header instead lists 5–18 metres; that internal difference remains unresolved. The account places two coral-covered hills beyond 15 metres with a sandy channel between them, and describes a turn near a prominent wall before finishing in Big La Laguna bay. These terrain transitions explain why the point and the bay can appear in one itinerary without becoming interchangeable site identities. The operator reports octopuses and snappers around this route; their presence is not verified for a particular visit.

Marco Vincent’s separate Small to Big La Laguna itinerary adds context for a longer outing through this area. It gives a 3–18 metre profile and describes staghorn coral in the shallows, an aluminium speedboat at 12 metres, and two coral-covered rock formations at 18 metres with small sea fans, fusiliers and cardinalfish. The route later passes whip corals before reaching La Laguna wall and returning shallower. Those are descriptions of the linked itinerary, not a claim that every feature belongs to the point itself.

Marco Vincent describes an ebb-tide route that can become a fast drift. That contrasts in emphasis with Action Divers’ preference for weak current when exploring the point’s ledges. The accounts support choosing the actual route and conditions together, rather than interpreting a common destination name as one standard dive.
