About this name: This pin is named Ma-Asin 1. Its relationship to Ma-Asin Island and other numbered Ma-Asin dives is uncertain.

About This Dive Site
The coordinate source records this dive as Ma-Asin 1 and describes a coral reef. Operators also list Ma-Asin Island and several numbered dives, but their numbering cannot yet be matched confidently to this pin. Their depth ranges are therefore not assigned to this record.
This is a partial site guide based on retained dive listings. Conditions, access, seasonal suitability and current operating arrangements have not been checked by a local diver. The map position comes from a published dive-site dataset and should be confirmed with a local operator before planning a visit.

The numbered Ma-Asin listings
Zentacle's directory record for this pin, titled Ma-Asin 1, calls it "one of the most beautiful coral reefs in Sipalay" with "table corals, whip corals, soft corals, etc.", grades it beginner and lists a maximum depth of 49.2 feet, about 15 metres. The same directory keeps Ma-Asin 2, "beautiful coral wall", and Ma-Asin 3, "hard and soft corals along the reef", as separate records. Easy Diving's dive-sites page, archived in April 2014 and May 2025, lists "Ma-asin Islands" with "most beautiful big table corals ever seen", a "coral garden from 8 to 28 meters" and a chart entry of "Up to 25m", then "Ma-asin 2" at 5 to 20 metres and "Ma-asin 3", "an other wall full of nice corals", at 5 to 27 metres. Artistic Diving's 2019 page describes "MA - ASIN Island" as "a small offshore island about 20 meters in diameter", twenty minutes south of its base, with "beautiful large table corals" from a reef edge at 8 to 10 metres, a steep slope below 25 metres and "a magnificent garden with whip corals at a depth of 10 meters"; it lists "MA-ASIN Wall 1", 5 to 20 metres heading south, and "MA-ASIN Wall 2", 5 to 27 metres. Artistic's 2009 English list instead names "MA-ASIN South Wall 1" as "just 300 meter south of the MA-ASIN island", 5 down to 30 metres. Takatuka Divers' archived July 2008 list has "MA Asin south I", a "beautiful slope south of Campomanes bay" at 5 to 20 metres, and "MA Asin south II" at 5 to 27 metres. SSI's Sipalay destination page lists an unnumbered "Ma-Asin" with "beautiful table corals hosting diverse macro life" at 8 to 28 metres.
Why no depth is assigned
The directory's table-and-whip-coral wording resembles the operators' island descriptions more than their wall listings, but each operator numbers the Ma-Asin dives differently and none of them uses the label "Ma-Asin 1". The relationship is recorded as possible, not established, and no operator range is transferred to this pin.
