About This Dive Site
Paradise Garden, Anda
Paradise Garden is a name used for a coral-and-turtle dive in Anda, Bohol. Blue Star Dive & Resort identifies it as its house reef, and visitor accounts describe a slope, wall and coral garden. The existing directory record still has a location conflict, so these descriptions are useful context rather than confirmation of the displayed pin.
Reef scenery and reported wildlife
Blue Star's named entry describes hard and soft corals with nudibranchs, shrimp, scorpionfish, moray eels and turtles. Master Liveaboards' Paradise Gardens account describes a shallow slope leading to a wall, with corals, sponges and crinoids above it and reef fish along the wall. These are operator accounts; neither establishes a current turtle count or an independently surveyed boundary.
A Lakwatsero first-person dive report, originally published in October 2020, describes visiting Blue Star's Paradise Garden by boat. The writer follows a gradually descending slope with corals, sponges, sea fans, hydroids and feather stars, then a coral-covered wall, and finishes over a broad coral garden after drifting with the current.
The report mentions jacks, triggerfish, snappers and other reef fish, followed by repeated turtle encounters over the garden. Its account of mild current and good visibility belongs to that outing. The reported dive duration and animal count are historical observations, not a suggested duration, expected count or conditions forecast for your visit.
Neighbouring routes and depth reports
The same writer describes a separate Snapper Cave dive that finished at Paradise Garden. Wildlife seen earlier on that route should not automatically become a Paradise Garden sighting, and a linked itinerary does not make the two names interchangeable.
Zentacle's Paradise Garden entry is internally inconsistent: its structured maximum is 16.4 feet, about 5 metres, while its prose describes a wall from 3 to 30 metres and a shallower route around 8 metres. The complete depth profile remains unresolved. Do not combine these differently presented figures into a confident limit.
Location remains unresolved
Two directories place Paradise Garden about 7.8 kilometres apart. This record retains the Zentacle position and the conflicting Scuba Network location evidence. REEF also uses a combined Paradise Garden / Magic Oceans Lumayag name, while listing Lumayag separately. Those names have not been reconciled into a locally verified location or alias.
When arranging the dive, ask the operator to identify the intended house reef and route rather than relying on the map pin alone. Exact entry arrangements, qualification requirements, current strength, reliable visibility, temperature extremes and a site-specific seasonal window remain unconfirmed. This review preserves the location warning and does not move the site.
