These sources describe an organized wildlife excursion, not permission to plan a scuba dive beneath a whale shark. Follow the current operator briefing and local interaction rules. Ask about water entry, boat pickup and the swimming involved before deciding whether the excursion suits everyone in your group.

Season and sightings

Sogod Bay Scuba Resort describes its usual season as November through the end of May and explicitly says sightings are not guaranteed. The province also reports November to May, while Pintuyan Dive Resort's excursion page gives mid-October to May. Treat those windows as planning guidance rather than a confirmed opening date or a forecast for your visit. Check recent sightings, departures and conditions with the operator before committing to travel.

Allow for the whole trip

Sogod Bay Scuba Resort describes an approximately ninety-minute boat journey to the interaction area and a six-to-eight-hour outing overall. It also states a three-hour interaction limit. Pintuyan Dive Resort describes a three-hour excursion limit at sea. Those are differently worded timings from different departure arrangements; ask what your own booking includes rather than assuming they are identical.

Compare equipment inclusion, environmental fees, guides, transfers, food and cancellation terms as well as the advertised price. Pintuyan Dive Resort lists snorkeling equipment rental separately; Sogod Bay Scuba Resort includes snorkeling gear in its package.
