About This Dive Site
White Beach (Basdaku), Moalboal
The White Beach dive described by Cebu Neptune combines a slope and wall off Moalboal. Its account describes a slope from about 5 to 18 metres before a drop toward 45 metres, with sea fans and both hard and soft corals. The deeper terrain is descriptive information, not a recommended dive depth.
Reef scenery and route
Neptune highlights both wide-angle scenery and smaller reef subjects, and identifies 12–18 metres as an interesting band for its route. That narrower band is compatible with the broader terrain description; the two should not be treated as competing site limits. Wildlife mentioned by operators remains reported rather than guaranteed.
Emerald Green describes a boat outing to White Beach and a drift along the drop-off. Plan the entry, exit and suitable depth with your operator according to the day's conditions and your experience.
What remains uncertain
A dependable site-specific visibility range has not been established by the reviewed citations. Regional seasonal figures should not be presented as measurements for this reef. This is a partial diving guide; it does not establish current beach access rules, camping permissions or local fees.
Subjects around the sandy reef top
Pescador Diving Center describes a sandy slope at White Beach and reports flounders and garden eels near the top of the reef. That adds a sand-habitat interest alongside the wall and coral scenery. Its animal list is an operator account, not a recent survey or a promise that those subjects will be visible.
Where the slope becomes a wall
Cebu Fun Divers places the transition from sandy slope to wall at around 22 metres, rather than the 18-metre transition in Neptune's description. Neither account identifies a matching measurement point. The descriptions therefore help distinguish the sandy upper reef from the wall, without establishing a single contour for every route. Cebu Fun Divers also reports soft corals, ghost pipefish, scorpionfish and nudibranchs along the site. These are broad viewing interests, not confirmed locations for individual animals.
A dated visitor account
In a September 2026 account, Austin Tuwiner describes a boat dive with Dive In Amigos and photographs the reef top and wall. He reports nudibranchs, anemonefish, lionfish and an eel, giving a dated example alongside the undated operator lists. His recorded maximum was 25.9 metres; that is his dive profile, not the site's maximum or a recommended target.
The same account reports 27 metres of visibility and water at 30°C on that outing. These observations do not establish a dependable range or season. Blue Abyss separately describes a sandy ledge with garden eels and scorpionfish, and rock boulders with soft corals around 25 metres. That is another operator’s terrain account, not a shared route or a recommended depth.
