Arco Point

Off the Libaong coast on Panglao's southeast side, Arco Point is named for the vertical chimney that gives it the nickname Hole in the Wall. Divers drop into a limestone funnel on the sloping coral garden at around 8-9 m and swim down through the shaft to exit on the reef wall near 16-18 m, where shafts of sunlight and clouds of glassy sweepers and cardinalfish make the tunnel feel cathedral-like. The short wall and surrounding rubble slopes are a macro haven: painted and warty frogfish, ribbon eels, yellow-edged and snowflake morays, cuttlefish, octopus and a parade of nudibranchs. Usually calm with gentle current, it is a favourite easy site and a popular night dive.
