Arco Point is a Panglao reef-wall outing whose distinctive feature is an arch or opening in the reef. Philippine Fun Divers places it in Libaong; Seaquest describes the opening as a swim-through. Exploring the outside reef and entering an overhead opening are different activities, so establish which route is being offered.

Two published depth ranges

Philippine Fun Divers lists 4–27 m, while Seaquest lists 4–25 m. These are operator descriptions of diving ranges, not a surveyed shallowest and deepest point. Their agreement on the shallower figure does not establish the depth of every entry. The previous 13 m average is not supported by the reviewed sources.

Current and route choice

Philippine Fun Divers describes potentially strong drift current. Ask the operator how conditions affect the arch, the outside wall and the pickup. A published description of a passage does not establish that entering it is suitable for your training or conditions on the day.

Look beyond the opening

Seaquest’s named Arco Point section describes groupers, wrasses and butterflyfish, together with moray eels and fish it calls dog eels. It also reports frogfish, while placing devil scorpionfish among rubble on the reef crest. These details distinguish subjects around the reef from the arch that gives the site its name. The operator describes a varied small-animal dive, but provides no dated sighting log or count. Its language about resident fish should not be read as confirmation that a particular animal is still present.

Philippine Fun Divers describes an outing that continues along the wall and steep slope after the opening, with interest around 10–15 m. Its recommendation to carry a dive light relates to looking into the darker openings; it does not establish that the passage is an essential part of the outing. When comparing options, distinguish viewing the reef face from the operator’s more specific description of cave exploration. This guide does not adopt its timed ascent or shoulder-direction instructions as a route to follow independently.

A nearby Alona boat excursion

The Fun Divers table gives an approximate 14-minute banca trip over 4.5 km from Alona Beach. It separately advertises snorkeling, which does not mean every feature described for divers is visible from the surface. Its published visibility is 10–25 m, compared with Seaquest’s 12–30 m. Those are broad operator ranges, not same-day observations. The short advertised crossing explains its place among local Panglao outings, while the actual departure, reef section and pickup still depend on the booked trip.
