About This Dive Site
REEF lists Dive & Trek House Reef as a survey location. The Anilao operator map names Dive and Trek and supplies a map point. A second map by the same operator family marks Dive and Treck Left and Dive and Treck Right nearby. Those directional labels are retained as possible parts of one house-reef area, not counted as separate dive sites.
This is a partial location guide. The precise entry point, site boundary, depth, current conditions and access arrangements need local confirmation. No resort facilities or marine-life observations are inferred from the name.
The two map entries
The Anilao operator dive map (Divers and Critters family, retrieved 2026-10-08) numbers "30. Dive and Treck Left" and "31. Dive and Treck Right". The Left entry gives 3 to 35 metres (10 to 115 feet), "Marine sanctuary", a short wall and drop off, a "Small cavern" and "Slight to no current". The Right entry gives 3 to 45 metres (10 to 145 feet), "Marine sanctuary", gradual to steep slopes, giant clams and hard corals, and "Slight to no current". Both entries mention the electric scallop. Their other common-critter names repeat wording used on many entries of that map, so they are not treated as sightings. These ranges belong to the two labelled map points and are not a measured depth range for the whole resort house reef.
Descriptions of the resort and its reef
A Yahoo Singapore travel article dated February 1, 2014, about diving in the Batangas area, recommends Dive and Trek for diving and snorkelling in the afternoon and says: "The resort has a house reef that is teeming with tropical fish and corals. Turtles are common." That is one writer's dated impression and is not a promise of what a visitor will see.
The Dive-the-World guide to Anilao (undated) lists "Dive and Trek" among must-dive sites and says it is one of Anilao's "best shark dives, with whitetip reef sharks, eagle rays, and schools of jacks present." It says the name comes from "back in the days when dive operators would offer combined activity packages featuring scuba diving and jungle treks in the Anilao area." An undated Underwater Photography listing titled "Dive and Trek, Bauan, Batangas" calls it a "Tropical Dive Site that is inhabited by numerous rare species, both day time and nocturnal species", with a typical depth of 0 to 50 metres and typical visibility of 10 to 30 metres.
A similar name at another operator
Blue Ribbon Divers, a resort at Ligaya in Mabini, lists a dive site named Dive and Trek as "Often the home of big schools of Jacks", at 5 to 45 metres and suitable for beginner, advanced and technical divers. Whether that entry, the map's Left and Right points, and the resort house reef are the same area is not established. Each description is recorded under its own source and date, and none is applied to the whole house reef.
