The zone-level verified constraint for Moalboal / Pescador indicates that maximum depths of dive sites in Moalboal range up to 45 meters / 150 feet. While the Dolphin House site itself might have a recreational limit or a commonly dived maximum depth, the claim that 18 meters is the absolute maximum depth is inconsistent with the broader context of diving in the Moalboal area, where deeper dives are possible and described. Furthermore, one of the cited sources for the claim, Cebu Neptune Diving Adventure, states an "interesting depth" of 17-22m, which slightly exceeds the claimed 18m maximum.

About This Dive Site

Dolphin House, Moalboal

Dolphin House is a reef and wall dive beside the resort of the same name in Moalboal. Cebu Neptune describes a sloping wall that becomes steeper around 20 metres, with hard and soft corals, sea fans and barrel sponges. That terrain description helps distinguish the site from other reefs called Dolphin House elsewhere in the world.

What the sources describe

Neptune identifies 17–22 metres as an interesting part of its dive profile. This is an operator's suggested band, not a verified minimum and maximum for the entire reef. Its information table lists Open Water experience, while the prose recommends the deeper scenery to advanced divers; choose a route appropriate to your qualification and conditions with the operator.

Emerald Green also describes hard and soft corals here. Wildlife accounts are reports rather than promises of a particular sighting. The name refers to the resort and should not be read as a dolphin-encounter guarantee.

Planning this partial guide

The reviewed operator describes boat access. Current conditions and a reliable site-specific visibility range remain unresolved in this guide. Confirm the day's route and conditions locally; the published depth information is not an instruction to descend to the deepest terrain.

A smaller subject in the operator account

Emerald Green includes pygmy seahorses in its Dolphin House description. The account does not identify a species or provide dated observations, so the generic category is retained. It adds a reported macro subject to the coral-and-wall scenery without promising a sighting on a particular dive.

Reef-top subjects and wall growth

Blue Abyss distinguishes smaller life on the reef top from the growth on the wall. Its Dolphin House section reports pipefish, lionfish and pufferfish around the upper reef, and describes whip corals and tube sponges on the steeper face. These details offer different viewing interests within the same site. The operator also associates pygmy seahorses with gorgonian sea fans, without identifying a species or providing a current sighting location.

Overhangs are a separate depth feature

The Blue Abyss account places wall overhangs at about 26 metres and reports nudibranchs and shrimps there. That is a description of particular features, separate from Neptune's 17–22-metre suggested band. It does not establish a new site maximum or a reason to leave the depth agreed for your dive.

Cebu Fun Divers likewise describes soft corals in the shallower wall and overhangs farther down, reporting groupers and Napoleon wrasse. Its approximate fourteen-minute boat journey differs from Emerald Green's ten-minute estimate from its own shop. Those are operator-specific departure descriptions, not a fixed transfer time or evidence of different Dolphin House identities.
