Depth and route limitations

Neptune gives 7–15 metres as its interesting-depth band. That is a suggested part of a dive, not the full vertical extent of the wall. The maximum depth remains unverified here: the cited PADI listing currently says 60 metres, which does not support the older 65-metre figure. Neither number is a recommended recreational dive depth.

The operator's reference to small caves does not establish the length, access or safety of a cave system. This partial guide does not provide a cave-diving route or confirm the earlier cave-length claim.

Neptune describes a boat trip from Panagsama. Shore access remains unresolved in the existing record. Confirm entry, exit and the suitable route with the operator before diving; wildlife reports and published condition ranges are not a forecast for your visit.

A dated look at the house reef

In his September 2019 Divers for the Environment feature, photographer Jesper Kjøller describes Kasai Wall as the reef beside Kasai Village’s jetty. His account separates the shallow area around the jetty from the deeper wall, where he observed sea fans, sponges and whip corals. He describes choosing this house reef for late afternoon and early night dives during that visit.

Kjøller reports Denise pygmy seahorses on fan corals and mandarin fish near the drop-off, with mating behavior observed around sunset. He also describes a turtle resting beneath a staghorn-coral cluster. These are dated observations by a named visitor, not a current wildlife inventory or a promise that those animals remain in the same places.

The article’s deeper outings and cave exploration were separate activities involving technical equipment and an experienced resort manager. They do not turn the shallow house reef into a cave route for ordinary recreational visitors. The account adds historical detail about distinct parts of Kasai Wall without resolving this guide’s unknown maximum depth, current access arrangements or present reef condition.

What the resort currently describes

Kasai Village’s amenities page distinguishes pool practice before a house-reef outing from its technical and cave trips at the reef. That distinction matters when comparing activities advertised under the same house-reef name. The page also mentions snorkeling and freediving equipment, but it does not establish that those visitors, introductory scuba participants and technical divers use an identical entry, depth or underwater route.
