About This Dive Site
Nat-Nat reef slope
Tabanka Divers describes Nat-Nat as a reef slope used for training near El Nido town. This is a source-attributed partial guide, not a recent underwater survey.
Route and conditions
The operator gives a 5–28 m range and notes that current can strengthen enough for a drift. A training stop should therefore not be read as a promise of mild conditions throughout the site. Ask which section and depth the proposed outing covers, and how the guide selects the route for the day's conditions.
What remains unknown
A whole-site depth survey, measured seasonal conditions and encounter frequencies have not been established in this review. Confirm the departure point and current suitability when booking; the site's name alone does not define the outing.
Coral terraces and sandy lanes
In Tabanka's account, hard-coral terraces extend from the beach and are separated by strips of sand. That combination gives Nat-Nat a more specific character than a generic training stop: the guide describes both reef habitat and small sandy areas, rather than one continuous wall. Its proximity to town and use for lessons do not establish that every part has the same conditions or that a departure is available on a particular day.
Reported wildlife
Tabanka names jawfish, green turtles, stingrays and octopus in its Nat-Nat section. The operator explains that its own name, Tabanka, is a local name for jawfish. It also reports dugong encounters, but provides no survey series or probability for an individual visit. These are attributed observations to discuss with a local guide, not a guaranteed wildlife itinerary. The published information does not identify a season when any of these animals can reliably be found or establish an exact species for every common-name reference.
Cadlao setting and another depth report
Palawan Divers places Nat-Nat's fringing reef south of Cadlao Island and describes sand between the reef sections. Its named account adds yellowtail barracuda, rabbitfish, trumpetfish and anemonefish to the reported subjects. These are operator observations, not a measured encounter forecast.
That operator lists a 5–25-metre profile, compared with Tabanka's 5–28 metres. The maximum remains unresolved between the two advertised ranges. Palawan Divers also labels the current moderate to strong and estimates ten minutes by boat from town. The short journey and training use do not guarantee an easy current or a departure on demand.
Sources and review status
Tabanka Divers. Original sources reviewed on 4 October 2026; additional attributed accounts reviewed on 6 October 2026; no local-diver verification is claimed. Source publication and field-observation dates may differ from the review date.
Tabanka's at-a-glance summary additionally lists eagle rays among the animals reported from Nat-Nat.
