About This Dive Site
Old Volcano dive site in Camiguin is characterized by sharp volcanic pinnacles and massive lava rock formations, a direct reflection of the island's geological history. The site features a gradually sloping wall that extends beyond 50 meters, offering a dramatic volcanic wall dive. It's an excellent spot for macro photographers, with nudibranchs congregating on the pinnacles and various shrimp species at cleaning stations. Colorful soft corals colonize the volcanic rock faces, making for a vibrant underwater landscape. The depth range and occasional currents necessitate advanced certification and good buoyancy control.
