About This Dive Site
A sandy training reef on Cadlao Island
Paradise Beach is a shallow reef and sandy slope beside Cadlao Island in El Nido. Palawan Divers describes it as a short boat trip from town and uses the sheltered shallows for course exercises. Aquanaut also identifies the beach as a training location. The useful distinction is between the shallow practice area and the route chosen for a particular dive: the site's published maximum depth is not a depth every visitor should reach.
What the dive offers
Tabanka Divers describes sandy habitat where patient divers look for small animals, rather than a destination defined by spectacular coral formations. Its reported highlights include flamboyant cuttlefish, ornate ghost pipefish, seahorses and seamoths. These are operator reports, not promises of sightings. Broad names such as seahorse do not establish a particular species, and this guide does not turn them into new species-level records. Photographers may find the sand and shallow light interesting even when the better-known animals are absent.
Depth and conditions need a local briefing
The operators do not publish one consistent depth range. Tabanka lists 4–18 metres; Palawan Divers describes a slope beginning around 1 metre and reaching 18 metres; Aquanaut lists 1–15 metres. Different routes or definitions may explain this, but that explanation has not been verified. Ask which section your group will use, its planned depth and the entry and exit arrangements. Do not treat a number on this page as a personal diving limit.
Palawan Divers describes usually calm conditions and recommends November to May. Aquanaut's broader El Nido seasonal advice favours April to June. These statements have different geographic scopes and do not establish a single best-month window for Paradise Beach. Weather, visibility and current on the day still need checking. Aquanaut's site entry contains an apparent geographic error in its wildlife paragraph, so that paragraph is not used here as evidence of animal occurrence.
Choosing an appropriate visit
Operators use this location for beginners, but an introductory Discover Scuba experience is not a certification. Confirm whether you are booking supervised introductory training or a dive for certified divers. Ask about the instructor or guide, group arrangements, equipment, transport, charges and cancellation conditions. The shallow setting does not guarantee a particular dive duration or remove the need for an individual briefing.
Evidence and remaining gaps
This partial guide was reviewed on 1 October 2026 using named operator pages. Palawan Divers' article was readable through indexed text; direct retrieval returned a verification screen. No diver has verified this update. Exact current conditions, an independently confirmed entry point and recent wildlife observations remain unverified.
