Siaba Besar

Inside Siaba Besar’s protected bay lies Komodo’s gentlest crowd-pleaser: Turtle City. A shallow hard-coral garden at 4–6m gives way to sand patches and seagrass edges where green and hawksbill turtles rest on bommies in remarkable numbers — dozens in a single dive is normal. With barely any current, warm clear water and a forgiving sandy bottom, it’s the park’s classic check-dive, training and snorkel site, yet macro hunters score too: frogfish, seahorses, ghost pipefish, flamboyant cuttlefish — and the occasional dugong rumor keeps everyone looking twice.
