An artificial structure beside a small reef
Action Divers describes an old dry dock sunk in 1998 on sand close to a small reef. It lists a 30 m maximum, an advanced-and-above skill level and a descent reaching around 24 m. La Laguna Beach Club separately lists a 24–30 m depth range.
Discuss conditions before booking
Action Divers identifies low current as important for this dive. Confirm the intended depth, descent arrangements, required experience and how the operator decides whether conditions are suitable. The published range is an operator reference, not a current-condition report or permission to enter the structure.
Evidence limits
The earlier 10 m minimum is not supported by these descriptions. Reported fish around the structure are not a reliable encounter forecast. Present structural condition, visibility, temperature and seasonal reliability remain unverified.
Reported life around the structure
Action Divers reports sweetlips, lionfish, scorpionfish and frogfish at Dry Dock, and also mentions a possible leaf scorpionfish sighting. These subjects add detail to its artificial-reef description. The list is an operator account without observation dates or encounter rates; it does not establish present occupancy or recommend entering the structure.
A dated route from the dock to the shallows
Michael McFadyen’s account of his 2023 Sabang trip describes the dock on a sandy slope, with its shallower portion around 25 m and the deeper part near 30 m. His initial descent reached about 27 m before continuing to the structure. These feature and route depths support discussing the planned profile, without turning his path into instructions for another dive.
He describes small gorgonians and sponges growing on the structure. His estimate of its dimensions was explicitly difficult to judge in the visibility, so it is not adopted here as a measured wreck specification. The account provides a historical view of the dock and surrounding habitat, not an inspection of its present integrity.
Artificial habitat beyond the main structure
After leaving the dock, the diver followed the surrounding ground toward shallower water. He encountered crates containing tied-in beer bottles, with a goby photographed in one bottle. The author interpreted the crates as artificial habitat, but the report does not establish who placed them, when they were installed or whether they remain there today.
The return also produced observations of shrimps in anemones, nudibranchs, moray eels, octopus and lionfish. He describes spending time around 15 m before finishing near 5 m, where he saw a turtle and a school of large silver fish he could not identify. That unidentified school is retained without assigning a species.
The account reports 29°C water in September and visibility of about 15 m. Those observations belong to the historical outing, while the shallower finish belongs to its return route. Neither changes the published depth range for the dock itself or establishes the conditions and pickup arrangements for a future booking.
