About This Dive Site

Artistic Diving describes a steep wall at the entrance to Campomanes Bay. The retained Easy Diving listing contains both 4–33 metres and 2–32 metres; Artistic Diving gives 2–32 metres. These differences remain unresolved. Eva's Point Extension is a separate operator listing.

Sea Explorers describes cracks and small overhangs along the coral-covered wall at Eva’s Point, with a shallow reef top used to finish the dive. This supports the wall description but does not settle the conflicting depth figures in the historical accounts.

Additional operator account reviewed 3 October 2026: Sea Explorers — Sipalay dive sites. This review date is not a dive or sighting date.

This is a partial site guide based on retained dive listings. Conditions, access, seasonal suitability and current operating arrangements have not been checked by a local diver. The map position comes from a published dive-site dataset and should be confirmed with a local operator before planning a visit.

Coral gardens and close-up subjects

Manami Resort’s Eva’s Point entry places the reef at the mouth of Campomanes Bay and describes branching coral gardens, walls and overhangs. It highlights gorgonians for wider photographs and nudibranchs, shrimp and pygmy seahorses as smaller subjects. These are operator-reported possibilities, not a recent count or a guarantee of sightings. The named section is distinct from the resort’s Toscana description; turtles listed there should not be transferred to Eva’s Point.

A visitor’s account of the reef

In Seeking Sipalay, published October 28, 2017, cbartazo describes choosing Eva’s Point after recent rain made the planned wreck outing less appealing. The account reports lobsters in crevices, giant clams among hard corals, nudibranchs, crinoids, sea fans and sponges. Glass shrimp near soft corals and a group of shrimpfish provided smaller photographic subjects. These are observations from that visit, not a current species inventory.

The writer also describes ghost pipefish above a sandy slope near the end of the dive and says visibility was better than expected. That experience shows variation within one trip; it does not establish reliably clear water after rainfall. The report moves on to a separate afternoon dive at Toscana, where its resting-turtle observation belongs.

The same account reports Christmas tree worms and a crown-of-thorns before the divers surfaced.

Sea Explorers’ named Eva’s Point section adds moray eels, lionfish and crustaceans among the animals associated with cracks and small overhangs. Its reef-top finish remains an operator itinerary description, not permission to enter an overhead space.

Easy Diving’s current Eva’s Point text gives 4–32 metres, alongside a 2–32 metre depth line. This updates the earlier archived 4–33 reference quoted above, without resolving the differing starting depths. Eva’s Point Extension still has its own separate heading and profile.
