About This Dive Site
Momo Beach, Panglao
Momo Beach is a named Panglao dive location near Doljo. Valm Divers describes a combination of wall and slope with hard and soft corals. Philippine Fun Divers includes Momo among the local sites it serves from Alona Beach.
Match the trip to the route
An introductory session's depth cap describes that activity, not the deepest part of a reef. It does not rule out a deeper wall. This partial guide does not establish the site's full depth range or the route used by every provider.
Confirm whether your booking is an introductory session or a certified-diver trip, the intended section, water entry and planned depth. Ask about the departure point and conditions on the day rather than assuming that a quiet beach always means calm underwater conditions.
The reviewed operator accounts do not establish guaranteed wildlife encounters, a fixed timetable or a consistently sheltered alternative to Alona. Those details remain to be confirmed locally.
From coral crest to wall
Seaquest Dive Center's Momo Beach account describes a reef crest at 4–7 metres followed by a wall descending to 45 metres. Its summary separately lists a 3–20-metre depth range; the page does not explain that difference. A terrain description and a listed dive range should not be treated as interchangeable, and neither establishes the route intended for every visitor. Seaquest reports table, pillar and leathery corals in the coral garden, with soft corals, sponges and crinoids in shallower habitat. Its wall description includes small overhangs and caverns, where it reports moray eels and dragonets. This is a description of terrain, not an invitation to enter an overhead environment.
The same operator lists ghost pipefish in the shallows and smaller reef life including fusiliers, razorfish, peacock mantis shrimp, coral groupers, flatworms, sea cucumbers and nudibranchs. These undated reports offer subjects to look for while exploring the reef, without guaranteeing encounters or establishing today's reef condition.
Different published depth scopes
French Touch Diving describes Momo as a northern Panglao coral slope and lists 8–25 metres for its dive. It names hard and soft corals, butterflyfish, angelfish and damselfish. Its favourable description is explicitly associated with calm seas; it is not a forecast for your visit.
A historical habitat record also exists: the PANGLAO 2004 expedition report, published in 2009, lists station B10 at Momo Beach on June 10, 2004. The sampled habitat was a reef wall with small caves at 3–14 metres. That scientific sampling depth is neither the site's maximum depth nor a recreational route recommendation, and the old observation cannot confirm present access or coral health.
