About This Dive Site

Shallow coral habitat beside a wall

Eagle Point Resort describes Sepoc Wall west of Sepok Point, with shallow coral gardens and a wall reaching about 27 m. Marco Vincent Divers lists an 8–28 m profile under the spelling Sepoc Wall.

Confirm the starting point and route

The shallow habitat description and the operator’s listed dive range refer to different parts of the outing. They do not prove a uniform wall top or one mandatory starting depth. Confirm the proposed section and conditions with the local team.

Conditions and evidence gaps

Eagle Point warns that current and surface conditions can become stronger or rougher. This does not support treating every visit as a gentle beginner drift. The earlier guide’s precise coral-cover percentage and directional current claim are not established by the checked sources. This partial description also does not promise specific species or reliable encounter frequencies.

A visit that did not reach the main wall

Michael McFadyen's October 2025 account places his entry on the northern side of the sand spit near Sepoc Point. He describes starting close to shore in about 6 m, crossing a smaller wall to roughly 12 m and continuing toward the main formation. These are positions along his reported dive, not new site-wide minimum and maximum depths.

The important outcome was a change of plan. He experienced a slight downward current on the approach, then a strong opposing current near the main wall, and turned back instead of continuing. The downward movement was no longer present on his return. This records changing conditions during one outing; it neither predicts a current direction nor identifies a fixed point at which another group should turn.

Interest in the shallower alternative

The same report describes soft corals near the shallows and observations of pipefish, moray eels, lionfish, crabs and shrimps. A juvenile rockmover wrasse appears in the account and its photographs. These details show why the part actually visited deserves its own description, while remaining historical observations rather than a promised animal checklist.

Because the author explicitly did not dive the main wall, his positive comments and reported visibility cannot be used as a firsthand inspection of that entire feature. Keep that limitation when comparing his outing with an operator's wall itinerary. Ask whether the planned trip depends on reaching the main wall, what shallower alternative the operator uses when conditions change, and how the boat pickup will work. The answer must come from the team conducting the visit, not from assuming a published route remains suitable.

The report's 20–25 m visibility and 29°C water describe the October outing that stopped short of the main wall. Those measurements cannot establish conditions in the unvisited section or replace the operator's assessment for another day.
