About This Dive Site
Archived operators describe a vertical reef wall with a spiral-like coral formation, with Easy Diving reporting 5–27 metres. Artistic Diving places it near Obon Point and calls it Tabacay Reef in Barangay Cayhagan; that alternative name remains a sourced historical account.
This is a partial site guide based on retained dive listings. Conditions, access, seasonal suitability and current operating arrangements have not been checked by a local diver. The map position comes from a published dive-site dataset and should be confirmed with a local operator before planning a visit.

A mixed-coral plateau
Artistic Diving’s archived 2019 account describes a plateau with both hard and soft corals and reports batfish around the dive. That is a separate feature from the spiral-shaped formation itself. Neither the historical fish report nor the formation’s name establishes current sightings or a suitable enclosed route.
Discovery date and the spiral itself
Artistic Diving's archived 2019 page says the site was discovered around 1999 and describes a vertical wall with a coral spiral that surrounds the diver; it says a diver can enter the spiral and be accompanied by an extraordinary play of light, which it gives as the origin of the name, and that swarms of fish pass by. Its earlier list archived in March 2008 uses the plural Spiral Drops, carries the same wording as Easy Diving of a straight-down wall from 5 metres to 27 metres with a coral formation like a spiral, and adds that there are nice batfish. Easy Diving's own version supplied to PADI Travel describes a coral tableau from 5 metres down to 27 metres with a coral formation spiralling down, lists a maximum depth of 27 metres, and suggests Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air training for the site. All of these descriptions come from the same two operators, whose lists share wording, so the 5 to 27 metre range rests on one lineage. DivePlanner Pro's directory lists Spiral Drop as an intermediate-level site reachable from both Easy Diving Sipalay and Sea Explorers Sipalay; that is a directory rating only.
