Malpadon Reef is a source-named dive site in the Coron area of Palawan. The sources describe a coral reef. This is a partial Coron-area guide based on published dive-site listings.

This guide follows the Scubago/SSI point named Malpadon near Sangat Island. Pirates Diving Center also lists Malpadon Reef. The spelling Malpandon appears in source prose, but its alias status and the exact dive boundaries remain unconfirmed. This is not a listing for Sangat House Reef. The source point has not been surveyed or verified by a local diver for this guide and is not a confirmed entry or navigation waypoint.

This partial guide keeps unconfirmed details explicit. Current access, entry arrangements, depth limits, currents, visibility and seasonal conditions remain unknown here. Confirm the intended location and a suitable dive plan with a local operator.

What the two listings say

Scubago's Malpadon page, filed under Sangat Island in its Busuanga listings, describes exploring the south side of what it spells Malpandon Island, gives a 5 to 22 m depth and recommends the site for snorkelers, Discover Scuba Divers and Open Water Divers. Its text mentions wire or whip corals as part of the reef and says turtles and reef fish such as clownfish and angelfish can be seen. The same wording appears on the SSI centre page for Coron Sarang Dive Club, which lists Malpadon among the sites it visits; SSI and Scubago share one database, so they count as a single lineage. Pirates Diving Center's reef page describes Malpadon Reef as extensive coral gardens on a gently sloping reef, with reef fish, crustaceans and occasional pelagic visitors, and gives 5 to 30 m for Open Water Divers.

Depth and spelling remain open

The 22 m and 30 m maximums are different operators' statements and are not reconciled here. Scubago's prose uses Malpandon while its page title uses Malpadon, which is the alias relationship the existing guide already flags. Neither listing describes entry points, moorings, currents or seasonal conditions, and no dated visitor report of a dive here has been captured; a dive-log page that appeared to describe the reef could not be retrieved for this guide.
