About This Dive Site

A town-edge sand-slope dive beside the Harbour Village marina mouth, famous for critters rather than coral cover. A colony of garden eels sways over the sand, yellowhead jawfish hover above their burrows, and rays cruise the rubble patches between scattered hard and soft corals. The marina draws unusually varied fish life, and Reef Renewal Foundation Bonaire grows coral nursery trees here — making it as interesting to conservationists as to macro photographers. Sheltered and shallow, it is a favourite night-dive and long-second-tank site, with the proviso that boat traffic at the marina entrance demands attention.

Certification Required: Open Water Diver
